The scanner itself is very good - compact and fast - though I have a couple of minor niggles with the associated software (Document Capture Pro for Windows; I'm running it under Windows 10).
1) Occasionally, the software will 'stall' in the middle of a job, meaning that the whole job has to be discarded and re-started: frustrating, especially towards the end of a large job!
2) The software recognises, and ignores, a blank page in the middle of a 'double-sided' job, which is what it's supposed to do. However, it does not recognise a blank page at the END of a job, hence the resulting PDF includes a blank page at the end as well.
3) It would be great if the scanner software could swap between single- and double-sided scanning during a job. I often have to scan work where the required material starts on the "back side", and/or finishes on the "front side", of a double-sided page. The only way I can achieve this is to scan the entire document a single side at a time, reversing and feeding each page manually. This is a real 'pain' when the document is 50 pages long!
It would be brilliant if the software allowed for "editable" PDFs (such as HP Smart does, for example), allowing individual pages to be deleted and/or moved into a different order. This feature would solve at least the two latter "niggles" I detailed above.
Overall, though, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it.
